Tomorrow, Thursday, 17 May, at 3:00 PM EDT, we will be releasing a new update for Alveo. This update comes with a few upgrades we wanted to make sure you know about. The first, and in our opinion, the most important, is being able to remove the system status button at the bottom of Alveo. Now here’s where we get, “Why is this the most important?”. Due to an update Windows had not long ago, certain .net Framework features across all Windows programs experienced issues; one of which was our system status button. This issue only affects certain platforms periodically and can be resolved with the deactivation of the system status. So if you have experienced random crashes to your platform, or want to potentially prevent crashes in the future, try this to resolve the problem: go to FILE and then click on SETTINGS. One of the last settings is “Deactivate Apiary System Status Button”. You can check this box, then restart Alveo. You will no longer have the APIARY at the bottom for system operations, but you can always check this at the bottom of the website, by clicking on the “?” in Alveo and going to system status, or by subscribing to our system status at http://status.apiaryfund.com/.
There were also minor bug fixes such as colors not staying changed on Fibs and indicators being able to accept negative values which the fixes for are automatic upon the update.
