Have you ever wondered what goes into planning an Apiary Fund Summit? There are a lot of behind the scenes steps that the Apiary Fund takes to make sure the Summit is a great experience for our traders.
One of the masterminds behind our Summits would be Carie. She’s a wizard at planning, organizing, and pulling off these major events. We sat and had a short Q&A with her to find out what keeps the events going.
What is the first thing you do before planning a summit?
The first thing we look for in planning an event is location. We have held many summits in different regions! Every once in awhile we like you to come visit our beautiful state of Utah.
How long does it take you to find a location? What does that location need?
It takes weeks and weeks to find a venue that will fulfill all of our needs. Because we are trading, wi-fi is a must; we also need big screens, lots of room, and a great area for you to enjoy your time in the evening. Parking and transportation is also a factor depending on whether the event is held at the hotel or a local college.
So you find the location, then what?
Once we have the location final, then comes the planning! We spend hours on hours creating an agenda with the best presenters. We have an amazing company that comes together and everybody becomes a part of this awesome event.
How do traders keep updated?
We get excited and like to involve our traders through facebook and blog. We will follow up with short reminders, and what to expect at the upcoming event.
Anything you want to say?
It takes every available member of our team to pack up and head to the event. We have so much fun preparing and getting the event already for the day we open our doors. We look forward to meeting you this September 19-21, 2016!
